Dr. Jennifer Bibevski, DVM, DACVS

Dr. Jennifer Bibevski, DVM, DACVS is an Ohio native who graduated from The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She then completed a medical internship at the Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Ohio followed by 4 years of specialty surgical training in Small Animal Surgery, which included soft tissue, orthopedic and neurological surgery.

She is board certified and is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgery or ACVS, the highest level of surgical training and certification in veterinary surgery. Her specific clinical interests include critical care medicine in surgical patients and minimally invasive techniques including arthroscopy and laparoscopy.  She has undertaken additional training in human intensive care units as well as training in advanced human laparoscopy laboratories allowing her to bring state of the art care to your pet’s most complex problems.

Her clinical experience has included veterinary education and practice in Australia, USA and Europe.  She is a volunteer surgeon for multiple South Florida Zoos and has been consulted to provide surgical expertise and anesthesia management for exotic species.  She is currently active in research projects involving cardiac surgery for animals.

Her extensive experience in all aspects of small animal surgery, her technical expertise, impeccable client interactions and a level of service above and beyond has made Dr. Bibevski one of the most sought after small animal surgeons in the region.

Her passion for doing the right thing for animals has led her to create a charity foundation in Bitola, Macedonia (Europe) who’s mission is to foster sustainable interactions between humans, animals and the environment.  The charity foundation is working towards providing spay/neuter programs, veterinary care to stray animals and to those that can’t afford care and bringing dog parks back to densely populated cities.

Dr. Bibevski takes pride in the fact that clients are always advised on what is best for their animal whether or not that includes surgical intervention.

When she is not working, she likes reading for leisure, relaxing in the sand, playing the piano and spending time with her two horses, “Pace” and “Moose” and her rescued German Shepherd, “Ty”!
